It clearly states on the Thai Tida menu that items marked with a little star are spicy. Even so, the intensity of my introduction to Kaeng Khua Supparod Hoi Malaeng Poo ($7.95) surprised me. I thought the fruit in this mussel and pineapple curry soup would tone down the heat quotient.
